Santiago de Compostela will host the third edition of “MATELEC Round-Tables on Industry” this coming 28 June – a set of meetings organised by MATELEC and MATELEC INDUSTRY 2018, in collaboration with C de Comunicación (“C for Communication”).
The meeting, which will be held in the EUROSTARS Gran Hotel Santiago, aims to promote debating forums to enable an analysis of the impact of connectivity technologies in various industrial environments and in installer activities.
This round of events seeks to debate the processes of transformation to arrive at more sustainable installations and analyse the impact of connectivity technologies on industry, offering the different points of view of the players involved.
These Industrial Round Tables are recorded for the next edition of MATELEC INDUSTRY, the International Trade Show for Industrial Technology and Smart Factory, and MATELEC, the International Trade Fair for the Electrical and Electronics Industry, organised by IFEMA and held concurrently at Feria de Madrid, from 13 to 16 November this year. MATELEC will be held, together with MATELEC LIGHTING, CONSTRUTEC, BIMEXPO, ARCHISTONE and VETECO, as part of ePower&Building. A gathering which, under the slogan “Transforming the way we build a Green World”, expects to bring together 1,600 exhibitor companies – 30% more than at the previous edition in 2016 – and over 80,000 professional visitors from 100 countries, making it one of the main European platforms for the construction sector.
The one in Santiago de Compostela will be the third date in this cycle of “MATELEC Round-Tables on Industry” and will bring to the same table representatives from different groups such as installers, electrical equipment manufacturers, industrial engineers, distributors, energy services firms and engineers.
The Internet of Things applied to buildings and industries, the real influence of the Industry 4.0 concept on the activity of the professional or the application of criteria of sustainability and energy efficiency in installations will be some of the topics covered.
Under the slogan “Transforming connectivity into industrial productivity”, MATELEC INDUSTRY intends to place the emphasis on new technologies and innovation, to support the industry in its efforts to adapt production environments to the new digital industry. “MATELEC INDUSTRY held its first edition in 2016 with the aim of responding to the challenges that Industry 4.0 poses to the whole of the Iberian industrial fabric”, declares Raúl Calleja, Director of MATELEC INDUSTRY and ePower&Building. “Following its excellent results, MATELEC INDUSTRY 2018 will focus on boosting and spreading the message of the need to adapt production processes to the new connected industry, placing special attention on small and medium-sized industry”.
